Over the years, many talented musicians have been a part of the group with some represented on the recordings and some as live performers. Now appearing with Hubbell Street are:

DOUG SCOTT - Piano
Doug is sought after as a composer, arranger, soloist, recitalist, collaborative artist, and orchestral keyboardist. He began playing piano at age 8 and received his first professional appointment as a church organist at the age of 12. He received the Bachelor of Music degree with highest honors from Michigan State University in 1978 where his principal teacher was Ralph Votapek.
Doug tours in the US and abroad with the Hollywood Festival Orchestra and appears locally with the River Raisin Ragtime Review. He performs with several symphony orchestras, Hubbell Street Jazz, and his own jazz ensembles. He is currently the organist at Grosse Ile Presbyterian Church. His original score for the Grosse Ile Boars Head Festival has played to capacity audiences for 30 years. He collaborates frequently with chamber ensembles and with his wife Carole as a flute-piano duo.
Doug is also very active in the arts and the community. He is Past President of the Southern Great Lakes Symphony and the Downriver Council for the Arts, a trustee of the Heinz Prechter Performing Arts Center, and serves on other civic boards and committees.

JORDAN SCHUG - Cello
Originally from Southeast Michigan, Jordan Schug studied music at the University of North Texas on scholarship from 2000-2005, studying under Lynn Seaton. He then returned to Michigan and has been continuing his music career there ever since, almost exclusively playing professionally. Aside from playing the double bass Jordan is also a jazz cello player. He has performed at the Detroit Jazz festival 6 different years, and also this year with the Scott Gwinnell Jazz Orchestra. He has shared the stage with many world class musicians, including Richie Cole, John Clayton, Gerald Clayton, James Carter, The Hot Club of Detroit, Jon Hendricks, Cyrille Aimee, Dwight Adams, Rick Rowe, Andrew Bishop, Laith Al-Saadi, Rob Avsharian and Scott Gwinnell and has lots of experience playing a variety of music. He graduated from the University of Michigan School of Music in 2014 for his graduate degree, on scholarship, where he studied under Robert Hurst.

DAVE MARTIN - Guitar, Vocals
Dave Martin taught middle school choir for 25 years before recently retiring to be a full time musician, songwriter, and producer. Dave is a guitarist and singer in the Detroit Grateful Dead tribute, Raising The Dead, and has performed with The Classics, The Bel Airs, The Grosse Ile Presbyterian Church band, and various rock and jazz ensembles throughout Detroit. Dave has published 3 albums of original songs, including 2021's "The Crown Sessions." In 2012, Dave was named the Southern Great Lakes Symphony's Downriver Idol.

JASON CASSELL - Drums
Jason has spent the last 25 years performing as a drummer and percussionist for bands, musical theatre
groups, orchestras, and national touring acts. He is currently a part of the Uptown Jazz Trio, the Rhythm
Kings, Michigan Philharmonic, Hubbell Street and CutTime Simfonica.
Jason has performed with Glen Campbell, Don Rickles, the Irish Tenors, Regis Philbin, Bobby Vinton and
Amy Grant - to name a few. He received a degree in music education from Wayne State University and a
masters degree in education from Marygrove College.

Godfrey is the bassist and manager of Hubbell Street. After completing studies in both engineering and auditory perception (University of Florida), he returned to a passion for making music. Back home in Dearborn, he performed with the HFCC Big Band and vocal group Blue Fusion while studying privately with jazz bassist Don Mayberry and guitarists Frank Marinello and John Hall.
Godfrey has played and recorded with area bands (Swing Kings, Swing Shift, 47Uma, and Eleventh Hour), been a pit band member in local musical productions and is a member of the Grosse Ile Presbyterian worship band. He also does live sound for several groups.
